The story of Atlantic Nyonya Restaurant began in the historic city of Melaka in 2000. Our founder, Aunty Ruby, was born into a traditional Nyonya family and was deeply influenced by her grandmother’s exceptional culinary skills and heartfelt cooking methods. Her grandmother always prepared every dish with passion and love, using food to tightly bond family and friends together. Inspired by this heritage, Aunty Ruby embarked on a mission to preserve these heartwarming flavors for future generations.
In 2000, she and her husband opened the very first Atlantic Nyonya Restaurant. Although the original space was modest, the cozy atmosphere made every customer feel like family, creating a foundation built on sincerity and cherished memories.

Authentic Peranakan cuisine is an art of patience and precision. Despite facing early challenges, Aunty Ruby’s relentless pursuit of perfection led to the creation of our signature dishes that define the best Nyonya restaurant in Melaka.
Through constant research and refinement, she perfected masterpieces such as Sambal Ikan Bilis, Ikan Chili Garam, and Ulam Bendi, which have since become the representative flavors of Atlantic Nyonya. These flavors are the soul of our kitchen—a perfect harmony of traditional techniques and modern refinement that defines the Atlantic Nyonya experience.

Growth
A Bigger Home for a Growing Family
As word of Aunty Ruby's signature dishes spread, the original space could no longer welcome every guest. The flagship moved to a more spacious location — giving more friends, neighbours and travellers the comfortable dining experience they deserved.
Second Branch
Atlantic Nyonya @ Malim Jaya
Our second branch opened its doors in Malim Jaya — bringing the same heritage flavours, the same warm welcome, and the same unwavering standards to a new neighbourhood of Melaka.
Third Branch
Atlantic Nyonya @ Melaka Raya
Our third outlet found its home in Melaka Raya, right in the heart of the city. With every new branch, we doubled down on a single promise: the taste must remain exactly as Aunty Ruby intended.
Fourth Branch · Central Kitchen
Atlantic Nyonya Cuisine by Aunty Ruby
Our fourth branch — the most personal of all — opened under Aunty Ruby's own name. To ensure every outlet tastes exactly the same, we also established a dedicated Central Kitchen, producing our core sauces and pastes with the same hands and the same heart.
